Simon Tainsh
Simon Tainsh grew up on a family farm west of Geelong, Victoria. He began riding through Pony Club and competed in both State and National championships across eventing and various disciplines.
After studying Rural Business Management at Melbourne Uni (Glenormiston Campus), Simon worked in Stock & Station Agency Landmark for almost a decade. Around 2013, he transitioned into a full-time professional rider and NCAS coach.
“Clifford Hill”, specialising in educating and producing young horses, including spelling, breaking/starting and pre-training Thoroughbreds.
Simon has ridden multiple horses up to FEI 4* level in eventing and competed across Australia’s major three-day events.

- Victorian Senior Eventing Team Coach for the Pony Club National Championships in 2021
- EV OTT Eventing Horse of the Year (Punching In A Dream)

- Ranked within the top 80 in the FEI world rankings
- EA Coach of the Month
Just de Manzana
- A horse brought on by Simon from a 4yo. Winning and placing at 3 & 4 star level, Just De Manzana was Simon’s first 4 Star Long Three Day Event horse before being sold to New Zealand.
Vengeance
The one that never reached his potential!
- Even though Vengeance still competed up four star with some very nice wins and placings at events such as Melbourne & Adelaide 3DE, he sustained a tendon injury twice so was then retired from jumping.
Punching In A Dream
- A standout Off-The-Track Thoroughbred bred by Three Bridges, winning at multiple levels right up to CCI4**** and winning highest Placed OTT at MI3DE CCI4****L
Remi Lord of the Realm
- 4 Year Old Young Eventing Horse class at the Melbourne International Three-Day Event 2017
- 5 Year Old Young Event Horse Champion at Dressage & Jumping With The Stars (DJWTS) in 2018
- Placing at Melbourne & Adelaide 3DE, competing to CCI4**** level
